If you smell Gas or have a Gas leak contact National Grid on 0800 111 999 immediately and do not turn on any lights. Ventilate the property throughout and wait outside if possible until the engineer arrives. Please ensure that you update your property manager the next working day.
An emergency is if you have a complete failure of your heating and hot water system or a leak that cannot be isolated by turning off at a stop cock. Please note that any charges made by a contractor will be recharged to the tenant, if the matter is deemed a non-emergency, or if the property is not fully managed by Boydens.
If you are aware of your landlord having an emergency policy with the likes of Homeserve etc, you must always contact them in the first instance.
